Age-Mind over Matter

Age- Mind over Matter A quote by Mark Twain, “Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter” corroborates with my view on if age really matters. Age is defined as the number of years a person has lived since their birth. Should age matter in a world where every individual is unique and evolves and grows at their own pace be at 16 or 40 or any other age?  People think that once you reach a certain age you should have clarity on what you want to do and what career choices you should take but I believe that going for your dreams should not be constrained by your age but rather it is a testament to the various skills developed and life lessons gained that will help you in achieving your dreams.  Even though I believe that age should not matter in some situations, I do concede that age plays an important role in reaching milestones from childhood to adulthood. From the time we are born, age plays a crucial role in our development in terms of reach...

Globalization and the rapid growth of global culture   Globalization has made the world a more interconnected and interdependent place of culture, population, and economies. Economic globalization has rapidly spread over the past years. With the rapid spread of globalization, culture has been changed and global culture has developed. Due to increasing globalization and the emergence of a global culture a lot of contrasting ideas and perspectives on what this means for us have developed. Globalization is not easy to define as some view it as a positive process while others view it as negative. While some people predict that that global culture over time will create a more peaceful world and connect people others worry that there will be a higher price to pay for having a global culture. In my opinion, though global culture will create peace in terms of reduced conflict ca...

Volunteering to take the underprivileged to an amusement park

A fun trip to the amusement park  As a student, I understand the pressure and stress we are constantly under due to academics and exams. I always appreciate a break from the monotony of school and exams. Hence, I and my friend who founded the smile organization which works on teaching sports to the underprivileged decided to take the underprivileged on an excursion to Wonderla. On 25th January 2023, we took kids from the GSR orphanage to Wonderla, an amusement park. Before discussing the trip to Wonderla in greater detail, let me provide some background information about the Hyderabad Cleft Society. This organisation works to educate disadvantaged and orphaned children born with cleft lips. We arrived at the amusement park at 11:30 via 2 buses with 94 children in total. There were children of various ages present, and my primary responsibility, and that of my friend was to supervise the children and ensure that they did not become injured or lost. We were given swimming costumes as...

These include adopting healthy sleep patterns; exercising regularly; developing coping, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; and learning to manage emotions. One in five teens lives with a mental health condition. Half of all mental illnesses begin by age 14. Globally, it is estimated that 1 in 7 (14%) 10–19-year-olds experience mental health conditions, yet these remain largely unrecognized and untreated. Ways to improve mental health Value Yourself: Treat yourself with kindness and respect, and avoid self-criticism. Make time for your hobbies and favorite projects, or broaden your horizons. The way you dress tell others about your taste and likes. If you like dressing up in jeans and tops it shows your taste in jeans. If you dress up in different styles of clothes it shows others what your taste in clothes is like, this challenges others to form opinions about you based on the clothes you wear and your taste. Furthermore, your dressing style also helps you form connectio...
