The link between the way you dress and your Identity
The
way you dress does influence what others think about you but your personality,
attitude, culture, and age all play a role in influencing others’ opinions
about you. Though all these factors have a role in what others think about you
the way you dress is an important factor. Today we are going to explore how you
dress yourself influences other's opinions about you and the way they perceive
you.
The
way you dress tells others about your taste
Clothes
have become an integral part of our identity. The way you dress tell others
about your taste and likes. If you like dressing up in jeans and tops it shows
your taste in jeans. If you dress up in different styles of clothes it shows
others what your taste in clothes is like, this challenges others to form
opinions about you based on the clothes you wear and your taste. Furthermore,
your dressing style also helps you form connections with the people around you
who have the same sense of style and taste.
The
way you dress yourself tells others about your personality
The
way you dress tells others innumerable aspects about your personality. The
dress you wear tells others about your interests likes, and dislikes. If you
like wearing dark clothes others form opinions that there is some something you
are hiding from the world and shows that you like dark colours. If you wear
light clothes others form the opinion that you are a very optimistic person and
always see the good in things, furthermore, this shows that you like light colours.
Clothes define you more than words could. People who are more casual tend to
wear casual clothing this emphasizes the idea that there are very casual. Your
personality defines the way you dress this leads to others integrating their
opinions on what dress you wear or how you dress. For example, people
wearing bold clothes and bright makeup are perceived to be extroverts by other
people whereas a person wearing a simple shirt and jeans is perceived to be an
introvert.
The
way you dress tells others about your beliefs and culture
The
way you dress tell affects what others think about you. The clothes you wear
give hints about your values and beliefs. Clothes help others form opinions
about your background, beliefs, and cultural values. The way you dress exudes your
cultural values and beliefs, for example, if you wear a lehenga it shows your
cultural beliefs to others. Moreover, certain cultural groups have an
affiliation to dress in a particular style which shows your culture and
beliefs.
The
way you dress tell other's a lot about the person’s personality, age, race,
mood, taste, social status, background etc. For example, if you wear worn-out
clothing people assume that you are poor, though sometimes the way you dress
does not define the way you are. The way you dress tell others a lot about you
but sometimes the way you dress is misinterpreted and others form wrong
opinions about you. I personally believe that the way you dress does tell
others about you but only to a certain extent. My personal belief is that the
way you communicate, and the way you interact with others around you has much
more influence on what others think about you.
